Two of my friends from school currently receive careful medical attention. One is expecting twins and on bed rest until they make their way into this world (if the word on the street is correct - we share among ourselves hoping to avoid disturbing her). The other is in the last phase of chemotherapy to deal with cancer. I want to visit them. Let them know they're in my thoughts every day. It just hasn't happened yet - the whole 'carless transportation' thing, maybe.
A carpool ride home with another friend afforded me a beautiful opportunity to make shared arrangements. Together we will visit our friends. We will share gas, and build community as a team. What a wonderful approach. Thanks, Friend!
